Meet Dr. Nigro
Anthony A. Nigro, DMD
Honesty, integrity and commitment to excellence are a few of the values that I espouse personally and professionally. I believe it is best to treat others as you would wish to be treated. Thus, my goal is to provide high quality, ethical dentistry in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I love working in the dental field because I enjoy the social interaction I have with my patients on a daily basis. I find it gratifying to build and maintain successful relationships with patients, many of whom I consider friends. I love the diversity and uniqueness that exists throughout our patient base and I learn something new and interesting from them every day.
I received my Undergraduate Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991 and continued on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine in 1996.
I go above and beyond the state requirement for continuing education. I like to keep up with the latest information and technology so that we can provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive treatment for our patients. In addition to continuing my education, I am also an active member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Northwest Ohio Dental Society. Outside of my profession, I am a member of the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and a sponsor for the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA).
I have been practicing since 1996 and have worked in a variety of settings including low income public health clinics, the United States Public Health Service for the United States Federal Bureau of Prisons, and in private practice.
We understand that going to the dentist is never going to be anyone’s favorite thing to do, so we try to make each patient’s experience relaxed and enjoyable. There’s no stuffy, uptight atmosphere here! Our team is a group of hardworking, dedicated individuals who have worked together for several years and understand the commitment necessary in order to achieve success.
I am originally from Sharon, Pennsylvania and moved to the area in 2004. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Katherine since 2003. We have three wonderful children Isabella, Lucca and Matteo and a black lab named Kona. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, exercising, traveling and watching college football.
