Meet the Staff

Meet Tina

Tina is a dental assistant to Dr. Nigro.  She has 29 years experience in the field of dentistry and 15 years of service at O-G Family & General Dentistry.  Meeting new people and making patients feel at ease during their dentist appointment is job #1.  It’s what keeps her coming back day after day.  Tina says it’s her personal goal to make a patient’s visit to the dentist “as pleasant as possible.”  After hours, Tina can be found with husband of 31 years, Dennis. Tina also has a daughter Kari and a son-in-law, David, and son, Ryan.  She is also a proud grandmother to Olivia and Stella.  Spending free time with her family and friends is Tina’s passion.

Meet Heather

Heather is a dental assistant to Dr. Askins and a seasoned pro.  She has been working in dentistry for 14 years and looks forward to the personal interaction with patients as well as working with her colleagues.  Meeting people and helping Dr. Askins deliver the highest quality oral healthcare to patients is her top priority.  When Heather is away from the office, she can be found with family and friends enjoying all that life has to offer.

Meet Deb

Deb is a dental hygienist with nearly 40 years of industry experience. Keeping our patients’ smiles healthy and beautiful through regular cleanings, fluoride treatments, and education is her #1 priority.  Deb tells us that working with the patient clientele, collaborating with the doctors, and making a contribution to the oral healthcare of each and every patient is gratifying.  Outside the office, Deb can be found spending time with Gary, her husband of over 33 years, and serving others–from her work at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen in Lima to the International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons.  She is also involved in the Honor Flight Program, which takes World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington, D.C., for free.

Meet Laurie

Laurie is our dental hygienist and an industry veteran with nearly 30 years experience.  We have had the pleasure of having Laurie on our team since 1997.  Cleaning teeth and conducting exams aren’t just a job for Laurie.  Laurie told us that she looks forward to seeing her patients every six months for their exam and cleaning.  Laurie is married to husband, Jeff, and has three children who keep her plenty busy outside of the office.  When she has a moment free, she can be found at the YMCA, camping, or boating.

Meet Robyn

Robyn is our dental hygienist and, like Laurie and Deb, an industry veteran.  She began her career in dental hygiene in 1997 and joined O-G Family & General Dentistry nearly five years ago.  Providing the highest quality oral healthcare for her patients is her first priority.  Getting to know her patients and their families is a close second. Robyn has been married to her husband, David, for nearly  15 years. Her three daughters keep her busy when she is home–but she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Meet Kim

Kim is our practice manager and the go-to person for almost anything at O-G Family & General Dentistry.  Kim can help you schedule appointments, get answers to questions about your insurance coverage, and coordinate treatment plans, approvals, and scheduling. Her cheerful disposition and kindliness help explain why she has been serving patients in our practice for over 15 years! When Kim is not working, she is spending time with her husband, Roy, and their three children. Family time is the best time for Kim when she is away from the office.

Meet Traci

Traci is one of the first people you’ll meet when you arrive at O-G Family & General Dentistry. With a wide smile and a certain helpfulness, Traci will put you at ease immediately. She can also help you schedule your appointments, handle insurance claims, and answer questions.  She has been in the practice for 11 years and is patient-focused.  When Traci is done for the day, she enjoys her time with husband, Rob, and their four children, as well as tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.

Meet Meagan

Meagan is a dental assistant to both Drs. Nigro and Askins. She is a graduate of Owens Community College and certified in dental assisting.  Meagan entered dentistry because she likes to “help people” and to “make them feel better about themselves.”  We vote for that! When she’s not in the office, she can be found with her husband, Alan, and her children, Carter, Thomas and Ariana.  Family time is just about the best time for Meagan. We couldn’t agree more.
